Break Out Session on Understanding Intergenerational Trauma—August 2020

Led a Faculty and Staff development workshop at Anoka-Ramsey Community College on intergenerational trauma and understanding history in order to promote equity between faculty, staff, and diverse student populations. Emphasis on understanding the impacts of trauma in academic systems and identifying biased narratives or practices. 

Rights & Citizenship Part IV: Women’s Rights Movement Panel—July 2020

Participated in a panel discussion on race and women’s rights movements in American History at Mt Rubidoux Seventh Day Adventist Church’s The Chat. Specifically focusing on Women’s Sufferage and Second Wave Feminism and the intersection of race, class, and legal rights. 

Equity: Body Settling to Combat Overwhelm—February 2020

Led a Faculty and Staff development workshop at Anoka-Ramsey Community College on settling the body in order to be able to confront your own cognitive bias in interactions with diverse student populations. Emphasis on tying making it possible to be intentional about developing equity and noticing biased narratives. 

Body Stories Workshop, Camp Proprioception—July 2018

Led a workshop in creating and devising narratives through guided movement and physical expression at That Thing At The Cabin 2018. 

Workshop on Russian Etude Style Devising and Ensemble, Kinetic Fusion—June 2017

Led a workshop on Russian Etudes as a method for devising through improvisation and ensemble games.

Led a workshop on Russian ensemble games.

 

Workshop on Russian Ensemble Games, Underground Theatre—June 2015

Led a workshop on Russian Ensemble games, specifically ball throwing, concentration, clap variations, and typewriting. Goals include listening to ensemble, working together to accomplish difficult simple tasks, ensemble coordination, memory, taking and giving focus, as well as action to accomplish specific actions as an ensemble.

 

Guest Lecturer: Pioneers of Modern Drama, Wayne State University—Fall 2014

Created course lecture and activities on Antoine Artaud and his contribution to contemporary directing and theatre—including lecture and discussion.

Mentor Director and Lecturer, Beginning Directing, La Sierra University—Winter 2011 

Mentored directing students by attending their rehearsals and answering questions as a resource in addition to their professor. Guest Lectured on Blocking and Mise-en-scene.

Speaking Shakespeare Language Workshop, La Sierra University—Winter 2011

Created curriculum and taught a short series of workshops in the folio method of analysis and performance of Shakespearean text for actors. Focuses on how to understand the text and use it to make character and acting choices.

Guest Lecturer and Coach, Beginning Acting, La Sierra University—Fall 2010

Guest Lectured on action and monologues in performance and explored students monologues with them.

 

Workshop on Revision, La Sierra University—Winter and Spring 2010

Created Content and led two workshops on revising written material for college students.
